Set monthly spending limits and track your progress. Larger bubbles represent bigger portions of your budget, while red bubbles indicate overspending.

When you first use Budgets, you have two options:

  • Auto-Generate Budgets to automatically create your budgets
  • Start from Scratch to manually set your own budgets.

Adjusting Income

Budgets estimates projected income based on past deposits.

  1. Select the pencil icon next to Income.
  1. Edit existing income transactions or Add Income

Creating Custom Budget Categories

  • The software provides 100+ default categories for budgeting.
  • You can create subcategories, but cannot create new top-level categories.
  • Example: You can add a Baking subcategory under ‘Food & Dining’ but cannot create a top-level Baking category.

To see transactions within a specific budget, select the budget bubble to open its details. Here you can see related transactions and sub budgets, add new sub budgets, edit the budget amount, and delete the budget.
