Looking for a passive way to increase your savings? With Every Cent Counts, everyday purchases can grow your savings automatically. account.

What is Every Cent Counts, WeStreet’s Debit Card Round Up Program?

Debit Card Round Up is a feature that rounds eligible debit card purchases up to the next whole dollar and transfers the difference from your checking account to a designated savings or money market account of your choosing.

    Example:
If you make a purchase for $9.25, the transaction is rounded up to $10.00 and $0.75 is transferred to your selected savings account.

    How Do I Enroll?

Eligible members must enroll before the round up begins.

    Members can enroll by:

Digital enrollment (including Joy) is not currently available.

Members can choose which checking account is enrolled in the program, as well as the savings account where the funds are sent.

Will I Need a New Debit Card?

No. Every Cent Counts is tied to the checking account rather than a specific card number. All debit cards connected to the account will be enrolled at the same time. Replacement cards will not affect this feature.

How Do I View My Activity?

You will be able to see activity in your account history. Transfers are expected to appear as separate transactions showing the movement of funds from your checking account to your designated savings or money market account.

How Will I See the Round Up in My Account?

The round up transaction will be added to your savings account once the debit card transaction has been posted from your account and is no longer pending. The transaction and savings round up will be posted on the same day.

I’m Not Seeing the Round Up in the Account.

If you aren’t seeing the round up in your account, the transaction may be pending, or the transaction was ineligible. Ineligible transactions include ATM and ITM transactions, check withdrawals, ACH payments, and teller line withdrawals. Once the pending transaction has been posted, the round up should occur the following night.

What Kinds of Transactions Are Included?

Debit card transactions are eligible; however, ATM and ITM transactions as well as checks, ACH payments, and teller line transactions will not round up.

If there are multiple account holders on an account, do I need to opt in each account holder separately?

No, enrollment is handled at the account level, not per member. Once the account is opted in, the Every Cent Counts program applies to all debit cards associated with that account.

Could the round-up activity cause an overdraw in the account?

Transfers will not occur if they take the account to a $0.00 or negative balance.

Can I use the Every Cent Counts program to round up funds to loans, CDs, or accounts other than savings?

No, this program only transfers funds from checking to savings.
